INVITATION TO PROSPECTIVE SERVICE PROVIDERS TO REGISTER AND UPDATE THEIR INFORMATION ON PHUMELELA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY’S SUPPLIER DATABASE

Phumelela Local Municipality invites new businesses to register as a supplier / service provider on the Municipal Supplier Database
Service providers must submit their application on the prescribed forms with the following documentation attached:
• Proof of company registration
• Company profile
• Certified ID copies of company directors
• Original valid Tax Clearance Certificate
• Proof of registration with professional bodies and accreditation, where applicable
• Bank details (together with an original cancelled cheque/ bank stamp or original letter from financial institution)
• An original and valid B-BBEE status level verification certificate or a certified copy
• Contractors to include CIDB contractor grading certificate
• Original or certified copy of proof of residence i.e water and lights statement or lease agreement
All businesses currently registered on the database must ensure that they update or provide the municipality with the new or relevant information.
Database registration forms are obtainable free of charge from our offices at Phumelela Local Municipality, office number 18 in Vrede or can be retrieved from our website www.phumelela.gov.za

The completed supplier application form should be placed in a sealed envelope and be hand delivered at office number 18 at Phumelela Local Municipality in Vrede or be posted to:

(out of 100) will be evaluated in terms of Method 2 for Price and Preferences.

Eligible bids will be evaluated in terms of:

90/10 preference points scoring system
Price 90 points
Allocation as per the Preferential Procurement Regulation of 2011 10 points
Total 100 points

Bid documents will be available as from the 14th June 2016 and at the compulsory site clarification meeting, upon payment of a cash non-refundable document fee of R500.00 per set, at the Phumelela Local Municipality, 52 Kuhn Street, Vrede.

Bids are to be completed in accordance with the conditions and bid rules contained in the bid documents and supporting documents must be sealed and externally endorsed with THE BID NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION and placed in the bid box indicated above before the closing time and date. All bids shall hold good for 90 days as from the closing date of bids.

Bidders’ attention is specifically drawn to the provisions of the bid rules which are included in the bid documents. The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted and the Council reserves the right not to consider any bid not suitably endorsed or comprehensively completed, as well as the right to accept a bid in whole or part. Bids completed in pencil will be regarded as invalid bids. Bids may only be submitted on the documentation provided by the Phumelela Local Municipality.

The following information must be submitted together with the bid document: B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificates, Company Profile, Tax Clearance Certificate, municipal clearance certificate and proof of payment for municipal services. Certified copy of the CIDB registration certificate indicating class grading of 3CE PE or higher.

Tenders will be opened in public as soon as possible after the closing time. The municipality reserves the right to reject any and all tenders at any time.
